Marion Public Library news

Registration has begun for the Marion Public Library's Fall Storytime Programs. There will be two storytime programs offered this year. The evening program will be on Mondays from 7-7:45 p.m. The regular morning storytime program will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Children must be three by December 1 to participate. Please call the library at (315) 926-4933 or stop in to register your child.

On October 11, the library will be sponsoring a Dinner Dance. Proceeds will benefit the Footsteps to the Future fund drive. Tickets are presently on sale for this dinner and Contra Dance event. Contra dancing is English Line and country dancing. Tickets are available as follows:

• Family Tickets - Dinner Dance - $40
• Individual Ticket - Dinner Dance - $15
• Family - Dance Only - $15
• Individual - Dance Only - $6

You can help with this project by: donating needed food items; volunteering to help clean the Grange where the dinner dance will be held; passing the word to friends and family; buying advance sale tickets; or volunteering to cook, serve or clean up.
