By Carolyn Adriaansen (926-4436) Happy 90th birthday to Henry Bosje on September 15, from his family. And Happy Birthday to Hermine DeMay on September 14. Ike and Nan DeWispelaere were busy the weekend when their daughter Laurie married Rick Aronberg on August 31. Their son, Tom and Kathy and family were out from Manasses, Virginia for the occasion. The wedding took place at the Nazareth College Chapel on East Avenue in Rochester with the reception at the Burgundy Basin Inn. Back by popular demand - Annie Oakleaf, Deputy Nester, Bibi Gunn, Doc Mallard, Rowdy Draw, Miss Patience, Sally Forth and Juan Bandito -- in a repeat performance of Bullets and Barbeque! This cast of Ne'er-do-wells will join together again at the United Church for this Mystery Dinner Theater on November 5. For reservations: call (315) 926-5501. SEPTEMBER 15, 1927 - The formal opening of the Giebel Storage Plant in Marion, was observed Saturday evening with a concert by the Marion band, free movies, dancing and refreshments. Annual Pig Roast - Enjoy a delicious dinner in or take out at the United Church of Marion on September 20 beginning at 4:30 p.m. Dinner includes roast pork, coleslaw, potatoes, corn on the cob, applesauce, beverage and dessert. Prices are $5.50 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3.50 for children 5-12. Bring a friend or take dinner home to the family. Proceeds go to benefit needy families. Plan to join those attending the special program "They Marched on Richmond" sponsored by the Marion Historic Association on October 14. This book written by George Shadman, Jr. is the story of the 148th New York Volunteers. Born August 28 to Rodney and Kathy Steurrys, a daughter, Ashley Marie. Ashley weighed 7 lbs. 8.5 oz. and is 19 inches long. Proud grandparents are Diane Schrader and Ken and Elaine DeLyser; the great-grandmother is Liz DeLyser. Belated anniversary wishes to Carl and June VanNiel on September 2 and Cyril and Dorothy Smith on September 3. Frank and Betty Baker of Horseheads were Sunday guests at the home of their daughter Jody and Paul Bender. Dick Murphy, Sr. has been welcomed back as the Marion Elementary School Crossing Guard. Tom and Joanne Porter and Grandma Anna Andrews were in Marion staying at the home of their daughter, Pastor Donald and Judy White and family. They were here to help celebrate their grandchild Leah's birthday.
