WARC names Magde as president

Evelyn Magde is the new Board President at Wayne ARC's Board of Directors.

She has been a member of the Wayne ARC Board since 1987 and has served as ARC's Board MembersTreasurer, Second Vice-President and First Vice-President, consecutively. She is a member of the Agency's Finance, Guardianship, Personnel and Nominating Committees.

Magde has also served as one of the Agency's representatives on the State ARC Board of Governors for six years. Evelyn and Stanley live in Marion; she is a health aide with Genesee Region Health Care, a member of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Auxiliary, and member of the Hearts and Hands Society of the Second Reformed Church.

Magde is completing the term of John Catholdi (pictured together here with WARC Executive Director Tom Gramley), who has resigned. A long-time advocate for Wayne ARC, Catholdi became a member of the Board of Directors for the second time in 1987. Since re-joining the Board, he has served as Second Vice President, First Vice-President and President. His strong background in construction and estimating has made him a vital member of the Building Committee. He has also been a member of the Finance, Guardianship, Membership, Public Relations and Personnel Committees. He lives in Newark with his wife Amelia.

Wayne ARC is a private, not-for-profit United Way funded Agency serving people with disabilities in Wayne County from 0 through old age. For more information about ARC, call (315) 331-7741.
