Historic grants offered by Dealers The Wayne County Antique Dealers' Association has announced its Second Annual Historical Grant Program. It will be dispensed to chartered historical societies in the county to supply extra financial support for worthwhile projects. All qualifying societies have been invited to submit detailed grant applications by November 1; notification of awards will be made on December 1. The grant amount of $1000 may be given to one group or divided among several applicants. In 1996, the Ontario Historical Society was awarded $500 to construct an addition to the log cabin at Heritage Square, and the Pultneyville Historical Society received $500 toward the conversion of its Mill Street property into a museum. The Dealers' Association, which was founded in 1967, initiated the partnership program to allow continuous cumulative support for the historical, cultural and creative life of Wayne County. The group presents two antique shows each year and several public programs on antiques. The 18th Annual Harvest Show will be held on October 25 and 26 at the Williamson High School.
