Rocket workshops planned Are you looking for a way to ignite some fun on a Saturday morning? If you are, then you will want to attend the Rocket workshop being held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Center, 1581 Rt. 88 N, Newark, on October 4, to kick off National 4-H Week. There will be two sessions offered, one from 9 to 10 a.m. and another from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The cost for the workshop is $6. This covers all materials to create a beginner Rocket (level 1) and the engine. On Thursday, October 9, the actual rocket launch will occur at the Cooperative Extension Office at 5 p.m. Registration for this workshop is a must by calling (315) 331-8415 by Friday, October 3. Class size is limited. Rocketry is a great way for kids to become involved in science. If you would like more information on becoming a 4-H Volunteer and conducting workshops like this, contact Kimberly Gardner at Cornell Cooperative Extension Center or call 331-8415. Copyright
