Downtown is "back on the market"

Downtown Newark property owners recently learned that Laker Development Corporation of Rochester has cancelled plans to purchase their properties.

John Bilotta, owner/executor of three South Main parcels, said that the retail chain Rite-Aid, after looking closer at the project, decided the location doesn't meet the requirements.

According to Bilotta, Rite-Aid indicated that the corner of Main and Union (Parcel 7-C) where Showplace 5 is located, is exactly what they need.
