History projects may get funding

The Special Projects Committee of the Augustus L. and Jennie D. Hoffman Foundation has announced that not-for-profit organizations may apply for funding for projects aimed at preservation of local history.

"Each year the Foundation sets aside a small amount to assist local organizations in funding for projects," said Robert Hoeltzel, Chairman of the Special Projects Committee. "We have funded a wide variety of projects over the years."

Applications were mailed in September to many organizations, and the deadline to apply is October 24. Organizations wishing an application form should contact Marjory Allen Perez, County Office of Tourism and History, P.O. Box 131, Lyons 14489, 946-5470.
