Calling art teachers

Those who teach..., a visual arts exhibition featuring the work of art teachers living and/or working in Wayne County will open October 24, at Wayne County Council for the Arts in Lyons. The exhibit will run until November 14 with an opening reception to meet the artists on Friday, October 24 from 7-8:30 p.m.

All Wayne County art teachers (public, private or parochial, pre-school through post-graduate) are invited to participate in this unprecedented cooperative showing modeled after the Council's successful annual High School Art Show. Artists need not be members of the Arts Council to participate in this exhibition.

Visual art in all media will be accepted. Artists may submit up to four pieces of artwork for inclusion in this show. WCCA reserves the right to limit the number of pieces shown based on available space and the amount of artwork received. Drop-off for artwork to the Arts Council is October 16, 17, 20 & 21 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Also Saturday, October 18 from 10-12 p.m. Work may be picked-up November 17-21.
