Wine tasting to be held at library

Newark Public Library will host a Wine Tasting fundraiser at the library on Saturday, October 25. Guests may come to the library any time between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. to sample wines, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts.

All proceeds from the fund raiser will go to the library. K & M Discount Liquor, of Newark, is donating their services to organize the wine tasting, and library friends are donating the hors d'oeuvres and desserts.

On hand to serve and to answer questions about their wines will be representatives of Indigo Hills, Talus, Nathanson Creek, and Herman Wiemer wineries, among others.

Tickets, which cost $10 each, may be purchased at two locations: the library, 121 High Street, Newark, phone (315) 331-4370; and at K&M Discount Liquor, in the Newark Plaza, phone (315) 331-4836. Only advance tickets will be sold .
