Palm Sunday at Lyons Church

Everyone is invited to attend the 10 a.m. Palm Sunday worship service at The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons.

The choir, under the direction of Robert Wadsworth, is preparing two anthems: "The Palms" and "Hosanna" from J.C. Superstar, with Chris Herrmann as soloist. Janet Buell is the organist.

The Angel Choir will sing a song called "Road to Jerusalem," written by Beth Whitbeck. Bill Hummel, Martha Bailey and Chris Herrmann, will present "Live From Jerusalem," a skit reporting the Palm Sunday events.

The Lord's Supper will be celebrated and the Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel will preach a meditation, "The Lord Needs It."

A coffee hour will follow, along with adult education.

The church is located at 11 Queen Street, at the corner of Broad and is handicapped accessible. Child care is provided. For additional information, call the church at 946-4723.
