Laura Jane VanLare and James Christopher Eggleston were united in marriage at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Newark on September 20, 1997. The Rev. David Mickiewicz of Albany performed the double-ring ceremony. Kathryn Walters Barnard of Buffalo was the guest organist. Vocal music was provided by Lynn Polochock, Lori Mulhern, Lisa Cramer and Amy Polochock. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Van Lare of North Main St., Marion. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Eggleston of Schnectady. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Her princess-style gown was white satin brocade trimmed with white seed pearls along the ballerina neckline, sleeves and waist. She carried a bouquet of white roses and gardenias with ivy. Matron of honor was Laura Tokaya Van Koevering of Newark. Bridesmaids were Rachel Nelson Lang of Marion; Lori Valklier Spears of Auburn; Jamine Buccheri and Kimberly Marcincuk of Long Island. Jeffrey Eggleston, twin brother of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were Michael Eggleston, brother of the groom; Andrew Van Lare of Cleveland, OH, brother of the bride; James Deuel of Rochester and Brian Vullo of Schenectady. A reception for 150 guests was held at Burnham's Canalside at the Quality Inn in Newark. The bride is a 1990 graduate of Marion Central School. She obtained an associate degree in Early Childhood Education at SUNY Cobleskill and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at SUNY Cortland. The groom also graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 1992 and obtained a bachelors degree in Psychology at SUNY Binghamton. He received his Master's degree in Social Work at Hunter College in New York City. He is a clinical social worker with Residential Opportunities, Inc. in Cohoes.
