Plant sale planned

The volunteer Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County are sponsoring their ninth annual Plant Sale on May 9, from 8-noon at the Extension Office, 1581 Rt. 88 North, Newark, (corner of Hydesville Rd.)

Sale items will include a wide selection of herbs, annuals, perennial and vegetable transplants, nursery specimens, ground covers, geraniums, and roses. Master Gardeners will be on hand to help you with your selection and give tips on planting your purchases. There will be a Children Only table with unique Mother's Day gifts. The Rose Society of Wayne County will also be selling a wide variety of high quality roses for spring planting.

There will be a Pancake Breakfast from 7-11 a.m. This all-you-can-eat breakfast is $4.50/adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Extension Office.

A Silent Auction will also be featured with unique items just in time for Mother's Day gift giving. Bidding will be from 8-noon.
