Myers is Beanie Baby HQ

The Tree Top Shop at Myers Community Hospital has been named the official Beanie Baby Club Headquarters for Wayne County.

The Myers Twig shop has the exclusive membership kits for the Beanie Baby Club.

Membership kits include an official membership card, a checklist of all existing Beanie Babies, the Club newsletter, a giant color poster of the Beanies, Beanie Baby stickers, and a form to receive a certificate of authenticity. Kits cost $10 each and the Tree Top Shop is the only location in Wayne County where they will be available.

The Tree Top Shop is also selling drawing tickets for the chance to purchase one of the hard-to-find "Princess Diana" Bear Beanie Babies. Five bears will be available through drawings. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The winners of the drawings will be able to purchase a bear for $10. Another bear will be available through a silent auction. Bids will be made and the person submitting the highest bid will be able to purchase a bear.

The drawing will be held and the winner of the silent auction will be announced at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at the Tree Top Shop. Tickets for the drawing are on sale in the Tree Top Shop at Myers Community Hospital, 6600 Middle Road in Sodus. Bids for the silent auction are also being accepted at the Tree Top Shop. Bids must be submitted by 9 a.m. on April 8. Proceeds from the sale of the Princess Diana Beanie Babies will benefit the programs and services of Myers Hospital.

The Myers Twig Association consists of more than 200 committed individuals who volunteer at the hospital, and work to support the hospital and its programs.
