Clothing drive in Lyons

Have you cleaned your closets or those dressers lately? The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons is looking for your used clothing! Unwanted clothes, shoes, belts, sheets, blankets, drapes will be collected on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This fundraiser is being held with the help of St. Pauly Textile. The textiles will be sorted and useable clothing will be sent to parts of the US and to Third world countries. Your donation is tax deductible and the event will take place rain or shine. Senior Citizens, living in Lyons, may call in advance for a free pick-up. The clothing drive is being sponsored by the Christian Education Committee of the Church.

For additional information or to arrange for a "senior" pick-up, call the church at 946-4723. The Church is located at 11 Queen Street at the corner of Broad.
