Scores of dedicated volunteers are working to raise $835,000 to fund 33 different service providers in Wayne County. The United Way Red Cross campaign runs until May 19. Money donated is managed locally and supports local programs and services. Last year, the United Way of Wayne County recived 60,000 calls for help, an increase of about 6000 calls from the previous year.
