Help post signs for art festival

The Wayne County Council for the Arts is seeking volunteers (preferably with cars) to help them post signs for the Harvest the Arts Festival.

On August 8, people will take to the streets and towns promoting the Council's annual arts and craft festival in Pultneyville.

"We're planning to plaster all the towns of Wayne County and into Monroe County with our posters," explained Wayne County Council for the Arts Executive Director Kevin Schoonover. "Every shop window, telephone pole, bulletin board, hen house, dog house, out house. It is our hope that dozens of people will show up, take some posters to hang, and then join us back here in Lyons for pizza and wings afterward. We want people to know about this festival!"

Volunteers interested should plan on meeting at the Arts Council's office at 2 Broad Street in Lyons at 10 a.m. on the 8th for dispersal of posters and location assignments. Refreshments will be available starting at 3 p.m. Call 946-5078 for directions.
