History at Noon The Wayne County Historical Society History at Noon will be held August 12 at the Museum in Lyons. William Maddock will be the guest speaker and will lecture on the Lyons Union School fire. The Lyons Union School was dedicated in 1890. Thirty years later, a terrible fire destroyed the three-story structure and claimed the lives of two students. The present Lyons Elementary School was built in its place. Dessert and coffee will be provided. Seating is limited so registration is necessary. For more information or to register, call 946-4943.
