Sodus church plans events
By Melissa White

In October, Father Brian C. Cool and Father Dave Faraone are planning a trip to Ireland with a group of parishioners from the Church of the Epiphany in Sodus.

The trip includes many accommodations, including round-trip airfare, 10 nights at first-class hotels, breakfast, and dinners. The travelers will see the Trinity College and the Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Blarney Castle, Cobh Heritage Center, Glendalough, Kilkenny Abbey and the Knock Shrine; also the Waterford Chrystal factory and the Kylemore Abbey, among many other sites.

The Church of the Epiphany will also be having a special retreat for all students in grades 9-l2. They will be going to the Rotary Camp in Rush on the weekend of September 11-13. The theme is "Come Search With Us" if you haven't received information about the retreat or if you'd like to help, call 923-2620.

The Home Meal Service is in need of volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels. If you have some extra time and would like to help, please call 946-5622. I'm sure the homebound neighbors in the Sodus area would like the chance to visit as well.
