Lyons golfers take Wayne ARC tourney

Nothing is more exciting to a golfer than to wake up on the day of a tournament and see the sun shining brightly and know that in a few hours you will be playing golf!

Wayne ARC tourneyThat is how it was for the 16th Annual Wayne ARC Golf Tournament on August 3. It was a beautiful day and 116 golfers participated in support of Wayne ARC's many programs and services for the developmentally disabled.

Everyone enjoyed a range of activities, including 18 holes of golf at Wayne Hills Country Club in Lyons, lunch, a cocktail party, a dinner buffet and an awards ceremony with lots of prizes and awards, donated by Wayne County businesses. The Golf Committee, co-chaired by Steve Felker and Tim Cappon, coordinated and solicited gifts for the tourney.
