Sodus Firemen's Parade I was behind the scenes of the Sodus Firemen's Parade recently. (Since both of my kids were in the parade and I'm a Brownie Co-leader this was the only place for us to be.)

When you're behind the scenes of a parade, you see the excitement and anticipation. When you are a participant you feel these emotions and others.

Walking down Main Street, I realize there are many faces I do not know. After living in a place for so many years, I thought I knew quite a few people. I guess I don't.

We were at the beginning of the parade so we were able to watch the rest of the parade. Everyone seemed excited to be in it, which made it a nice parade. Mr. Toner's large porch was a good spot to watch from. We recognized Mr. Hyland, his wife, Janie, Mrs. Miner, Mr. Miller and, of course, Mr. Toner and his wife.

As we walked home from the carnival grounds we saw many parties going on. Parades can be a great way to have fun and entertain before your party. We, Sodus Firemen's Paradeon the other hand, were pretty tired from our long walk to the carnival grounds. The kids passed out and I unloaded the camera. Enjoy the pictures...maybe you'll see some familiar faces.
