'Twas a stormy week in Newark At about 6:45 Monday morning, a storm front passed through Wayne, Seneca and Ontario Cars are pictured in a low spot on East Union Street, Newark, right after the heavy rains on Tuesday. At about 5:30 Tuesday evening, a passed through Wayne County. Power outages due to lightning strikes and wind gusts caused power outages in the Newark, Palmyra and Macedon areas. Power was interrupted to a total of 1600 customers. NYSEG crews responded promptly. Power was restored to 1400 customers in about one hour and 45 minutes.
