'Twas a stormy week in Newark

At about 6:45 Monday morning, a storm front passed through Wayne, Seneca and Ontario low spot on East Union Streetcounties resulting in scattered power outages. These outages primarily occurred in the Clyde, Newark and Geneva areas. Power was interrupted to 250 customers.

At about 5:30 Tuesday evening, a passed through Wayne County. Power outages due to lightning strikes and wind gusts caused power outages in the Newark, Palmyra and Macedon areas. Power was interrupted to a total of 1600 customers.

NYSEG crews responded promptly. Power was restored to 1400 customers in about one hour and 45 minutes. Electric service to all customers was restored by 10:40 p.m.
