Newark grads win scholarships

Newark Lodge #1249 of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks annually awards $1000 scholarships to two deserving members of the graduating class of Newark High School to assist them in their college expenses. This year's winners are Joseph Monahan and Kristen Admiraal.

Newark Elks Lodge annually contributes in excess of $40,000 to local youth organizations and other charitable endeavors yearly in addition to the over 13 million given nationally by the Grand Lodge of Elks.
