Grant buys Marion library computer

The Marion Public Library proudly announces the public opening of their new Ronald McDonald Public Access Computer. In late 1997, the library was the fortunate recipient of a Ronald McDonald Charities grant to purchase a multimedia computer and software to be used by the young people of Marion.

Although this computer has been in the library and has been used by the patrons of the Marion library for several months now, Saturday, September 12, will be the grand opening and dedication of this computer.

Persons using the computer must have an active Marion Library card. Children in the 4th grade and under must be accompanied by a parent. There will be demonstrations of programs, refreshments, and a grand prize drawing for a computer prize. Please call the library at 926-4933 for further information.
