A big welcome to the neighborhood to Craig and Leslie Hance. They are the ones who have the delightful holiday decorations. Drive down Union Street the next time you are out at night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Howard Vice who celebrates on December 21.

The residents of the Senior Citizens Complex at Drumlin Estates celebrated the holiday season with a wonderful dinner on Wednesday, December 16.

Si VerPlank has had recent cataract surgery.

Best wishes to Howard and Fran Hance on the occasion of their 55th Wedding Anniversary on December 13.

A retirement party was held at the Green Lantern Inn in Fairport on December 9 for Paul Muir. Paul retires from Xerox on December 18 with over 25 years of service.

Jim Niedermaier with the Wayne ARC Developing the WAY - Wayne Area Youth program was welcomed at the Marion United Church. In January they will gather in Marion at the church for a Souper Bowl Tailgate Party.

Bunny Sewert hosted the Women's Circle Luncheon of the United Church Women at her home on Tuesday, December 15.

A Night of Caroling is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22 at the United Church. This is a time when all who enjoy singing, whether members of the choir or not, can share their gifts and good-will with shut-ins and other in the church family. Refreshments follow.

Joe Bushart is presently residing at the Armstrong Senior Living, Apt. #1071, 790 East Maple Ave. in Newark.

The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at the United Church will begin at 6 p.m. The Church School Christmas Program will be held on December 20 beginning with supper at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m.

On December 20, the Sunday School Christmas Program at the Second Reformed Church will be held, titled "It All Happened In The Country."

Brian Lewis who was featured in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle as one of the "Kids Who Make A Difference."

"Be naughty - save Santa the trip!"

Donna Lehr was the winner of the "Possible 'Dreams Special Event Santa Claus" offered by the Leaning Barn during the open house.

Happy Birthday to Florence Johnson, a former Marion friend, who presently resides in Florida.

DECEMBER 21, 1950 - Marion Central School library gave a tea for the faculty and exhibited many of the new books. Mrs. Joseph Coco poured with Miss Barbara Wood, Miss Jean Wood and Miss Suzanne Bliek assisting. Mrs. Phyllis East and the girls of the homemaking department planned and prepared the refreshments.

All of us send our BEST WISHES to Hazel McMullin who celebrates her 97th birthday on December 23, 1998. Hazel's address is Clifton Springs Hospital, Coulter Rd., Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

More birthday wishes go to Howard Hance who celebrated his birthday on December 11 and to Claudia Stoker on December 16.

Students make All-County Chorus

Congratulations to this year's All-County Chorus members. Senior High choir members auditioned at Williamson High School on November 4 and the following were selected: Sayah Gardner, Kyle Haak, Rachel.Hutt, Jennifm LaFlarn, Jessica Larnmers, Nathan Lent, Melissa Maynard, Laurel Stanton, Peter Stevens and Alicia Weeks. Chosen for Junior high All-County Chorus were - Andrew Alspaugh, Aaron Barber, Jennifer Rimingham, Stacy Bloomer, Mary Boerman, Undsey Rrower, Karissa DePoint, Cody Gardner, Jeremy Hadley, Amy Lau. Hannah Lawliss. Katie Myer:5 and Amanda VerPlank. The Wayne All-County Chorus Festival will be held January 29 and 30 in Williamson.

Area All-State

This year's Senior High Area All-State Festival was held at Hilton High School on November 20 and 21. In order to be selected to perform in these ensembles students must prepare and be adjudicated on a New York State School Music Association solo.

Participating in the chorus were Nathan Lent, Melissa Maynard and Alicia Weeks; Elizabeth Fino-Radin was selected for orchestra and Jessica Lammers participated in the band.
