Scout Sunday at Lyons church

On February 8, local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be recognized during the 10 a.m. worship service at Lyons Presbyterian Church. All scouts are invited to come in uniform. The Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel will be preaching a sermon - "Let Down Your Nets." Mark DeCracker will share a song that he wrote in honor of his grandmother, called "A Rose for Edna." The choir is planning special music.

A similar service for Girl Scouts is being planned for March. A fellowship hour will follow the service.

The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons is located at 11 Queen Street at the corner of Queen and Broad. The church is handicapped accessible and a nursery is available for infants and toddlers.
