Marion Library News

It's hard to believe that the first month of 1998 has come and gone. The Marion Angel Tree committee and the staff at the library extend their belated thank you to all who participated in the angel tree this year. Gifts were distributed to over 70 children in the community. Thank you for your gifts of love.

It's flu season in Marion, and we at the library want to remind parents and caretakers about our Sick Kid Kits. Just call the library with the age and any particular interests of your sick kid, and we will put, together a bag of books, games, puzzles, etc. to entertain your child.

Another reminder: Once again, we have beanie critters for sale. Due to popular demand, we are repeating the sale of these charming collectibles. This years' collection consists of farm and zoo animals. These delightful toys are $4 each, or 2 for $7.

Hod Hance has donated a line of wooden toys as a fund-raiser for our building fund. Stop in and see what neat stuff we have for sale.

Many thanks to Deb Leeuwen and her daughters for their efforts in decorating the library window. The present Valentine's Day window is really nice.
