Members and interested members of the community are invited to the February 24 meeting of the Marion Historic Association. Plans for the coming year will be discussed. The meeting will be held in the former Court offices at 7 pm.

Happy Birthday wishes to Evelyn VerPlank on Tuesday, February 17, from all of her friends.

Grace Franke is recovering at home following foot surgery.

Sally Mullin was welcomed as guest organist at the United Church on February 1, 1998.

Philip Meyer, son of Rev. Dan and Bev Meyer of the United Church is heading toward the Persian Gulf. Don Fletcher's son Scott is also in the Gulf, serving on a submarine. Pray for all those who find themselves in this potentially difficult situation.

Barb and Bill DeWandel, accompanied by their son, Jeff, were in Ohio for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed their visit at the Airforce Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a MIRACLE -- the other is as if everything is!"

Happy Valentine's Day! The Oxford English Dictionary says that the heart was considered "the seat of love and affection" as early as the twelfth century, so it is not surprising to find so-called heart shapes appearing on valentines.

Tea and cookies will be served at the Marion Museum on Sunday, February 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. So come for "Teatime." It's not the tea, in other words, that make teatime special, it's the spirit of the tea party.

Ken and Nancy Karasinski just returned from a trip to Scotsdale, Arizona. The hotel they stayed at was hosting the Arizona Open. Also at the Open were over fifty hot air balloons that put on quite a display every morning. Touring the Sedona region and area Foothills as well as visiting a Pioneer Village and enjoying the sunshine were all part of the trip.

Hilda DeLue thanks all who remenmbered her on her birthday with cards and phone calls.
