HELP! I am always asking for information of our former "prisoners of war" camp on Walworth Road. Jot down what you remember or give me a call.

Jeff and Julie Herman announce the birth of daughter Susie May, on February 10. She weighed 8 lbs. and measured 21 inches at birth. Proud grandparents are Edwin and Dorothy Bliek and Wayne and Millie Herman of Williamson.

"If I don't do something -- I'll just end up being an old person with a great idea!"

Bus trips abound! The Port Gibson Travelers are planning Easter at "The Barn", great entertainment and food on April 7. April 18-25 they are heading for Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach for 8 days. On May 6th they will see "Music and Magic" a wonderful stage show with lunch. May 11-14 a tour of Historic Hudson Valley. And on June 6 and 7 the 7th Annual Greater Hamilton TATTOO, one of the top 100 events in North America. Music, military bands, etc. Call Jeanne Lewis at 331-3574 for more information and reservations. (I'll plan to see you on the bus.)

THANKS to all my family members and friends who have contributed over the years to my personal collection of pretty tea cups, tea balls and tea things and for being a part of Teatime at the Museum on February 15th.

413 books were published last year at the Marion Elementary Publishing Center. This is the largest amount of books since the opening of the Publishing Center in 1989. The goal each year is to increase the number until every student publishes at least one story during the year. Books can be written at school or at home. These books also make wonderful gifts. Authors' Night will be April 29 at 7 p.m. New volunteers are always welcome. Call Fran Fino at 926-4256.

March 28 at 6:30 is Eighth Grade Planning Night. This informational meeting will take place in the High School cafeteria. The Regents Action Plan and graduation requirements will be explained. There will also be representatives from each subject area and VOPRO to answer any questions about the curriculum. Throughout March counselors will meet individually with each eighth grade student and family.

February 22, 1923 - The Marion Boy Scouts with Rev. I.W. Bumpus, scoutmaster, went on a hike Monday noon and cooked their dinner over a campfire. Some of the boys passed tests in tracking, signaling, fire building and cooking.

Stan and Isabelle Bushart enjoyed their noon meal at the Steger Haus in honor of Stan's birthday. Later that day, several of their children and grandchildren joined them for cake and ice cream. Attending were Karen and Geoff Hayden; Carm, Beth and Mark Bushart; Ruth and Ted Townson and children from Clyde; Tom and Kristen Means and Children of Walworth.

The Fancy Pants Consignment Boutique is giving 50 percent off all clothing through Feb. 28.

Hilda De Lue fell on the ice at her home and is in Clifton Springs Hospital with a broken hip.

Myrna Quigley is home after a two-week stay in Florida, with her daughter - Sheila and Roger Larwood.

Drop off your nickel cans/bottles at the Fancy Pants Boutique, across from Shurfine, for the Senior Bash.

In honor of Jody's dad's birthday, Paul and Jody Bender and family entertained Frank and Betty Baker of Horseheads.
