Fairville has new pastor

The Rev. Lee E. Prong will become the new pastor of the Fairville Presbyterian Church on March 1 at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Rev. & Dee ProngRev. Prong and his wife, Dee, (pictured) have two children, Rachel and Daniel. They live on Filkins Road, Newark.

He was ordained in 1980 following educational degrees from Monroe Community College (AA), Roberts Wesleyan College (BA) and Colgate Rochester Divinity School (MDIV).

Previous to coming to the Fairville church, he was associated with the Tully United Community Church, Strong Memorial Hospital, Covenant Baptist Church in Oio, Conklin Ave. First Baptist Church in Binghamton, First Baptist Church of Newark and most recently, interim pastor at the Fairport Baptist Church.

He has also served as a counselor for FLACRA, coach for the jayvee girls softball and modified boys soccer teams, coach/manager in the Finger Lakes Fast Pitch Assoc. coaching youth 14 and under and is associated with the Newark Rotary.

Prong will also be pastor of the East Palmyra Presbyterian Church. He and his family will be welcomed with a special coffee fellowship in their honor following the worship service. All are invited to welcome him.
