World Day of Prayer in Newark

Why would anyone pause to pray on Friday, March 6, the World Day of Prayer?

To join millions of women and men around the globe from 170 countries and islands in the largest grassroots, ecumenical, international worship service.

This year marks the 111th annual World Day of Prayer; the theme is "Who Is My Neighbor?" The Newark observance will take place in Park Presbyterian Church Chapel on March 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Cynthia Huling Hummel, Pastor of the Lyons Presbyterian Church, will be the speaker for the evening. Refreshments will be served at 6:30, followed by Bible study and a worship service. Child care will be provided.
