By Carolyn Adriaansen (926-4436) Steve Marsille was the guest speaker on December 28 at the First Reformed Church. Happy birthday to Pastor Bill Hoffman on December 21. Ann Patric and Sally Mullin presented the special music during the Christmas season at the First Reformed Church. Birth announced: Dayna Elizabeth Fisher was born at Myers Hospital on Dec. 22 at 8:10 a.m., weighing 6 lb. 12 oz. Her parents are Sheila and Chris Fisher of Joy Road, Sodus. She is welcomed home by her sisters, Tina and Jessica. Maternal grandmother is Patricia Wilbur; paternal grandparents are Ann and Duane Fisher. Judy White presented the ministry of music at the Second Reformed Church on January 4. The Rev. Don and Christine Collier of Riverside, CA and sister Linda (and John) Newland of Macedon, were guests at the First Reformed Church on Jan. 4. The Colliers were visiting their mother, Gertrude Collier, at Strong Memorial Hospital. The Palmyra Senior Citizens and Friends are looking forward to three spring trips. April 8 - there will be an evening prerformance of the Passion Play at Buffalo. This includes a stop at the Botanical Gardens and dinner at Polish Villa. May 5 - Charlie Prose Matinee in Hamilton, Ontario with lunch at Carmen's. May 17-18 - trip to Albany's 50th Tulip Festival, featuring thousands of tulips. See an antiques and art show at Washington Park. Attend the musical A Little Night Music featuring the ballad Send in the Clowns. A guided tour of Albany include the Capital and Plaza and New York State Museum. For information: Virginia Lupold at 597-4372. Happy birthday to Josephine Adriaansen, at DeMay Living Center, on January 10. "Don't drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly!" Friends of Sara Provost may write to her at 1456 Caulkins Road, Pittsford 14535. Jennifer Lighthouse sang a solo at the Jan. 4 worship service at the United Church of Marion. The Marion PTA will meet at 3:45 p.m. on January 15 in the elementary school cafeteria. January 7, 1954: The Second Reformed Church is starting an every-member canvass to make a $10,000 addition. Laura and Jamie Eggleston of Schenectady visited her parents - David and Diane Van Lare - during the recent holidays. Jean Fitsgerald joined them for Christmas dinner. On December 27 the Van Lares and Egglestons went to Cleveland for a celebration with Andrew Van Lare. They went to dinner at the Mongolia Barbeque in Cleveland. Howard and Betty Faro are back from a trip to California. They toured the San Francisco area and stayed on Fisherman's Wharf. They saw the Tournament of Roses Parade and had tickets to the Rose Bowl game. They went down the Pacific Highway to Monterey and to Salvang, a quaint German village, to Hollywood and Los Angeles. They said it was a wonderful trip.
