Marion student profile

John Boerman has been chosen 8th grade student of the week by his Home and Careers teacher, Mrs. Patrick. John lives with his parents, David and Ann Boerman, and his siblings Elizabeth 14, Mary 11, Sara 9, Christine 8, and Michael 5 years old.

John attends the Second Reformed Church and belongs to 4H. He went to the State Fair as a Teen Leader. He helps out with the chores around the family farm and enjoys watching TV and reading.

At school, John is a member of the band, played soccer as a left wing, and will wrestle this winter. He is also planning to go to Montreal with the French Club. His favorite class is Technology and he hopes to become an architect.

John was chosen because of his creative project construction ability and his friendly, helpful personality. He is truly a pleasure to have as a student in class.
