Update: Williamson Library detectives This week, we registered for the Can You Solve it @ the Library? program at the Williamson Library. We did not see you there. (You were probably dressed so no one would know you're a detective...very clever.)
We also got a hanger for our office door - all private eyes have a special office with a sign on the door. We received a magnifying glass for those small, hard-to-see clues; information on how to write our own mystery; our first case; and a sheet of footprints on which to keep track of our research (books we've read). On our information sheets, there are heros, such as good old Sherlock Holmes, his assistant Watson and, my favorite, Snoopy. Amazing cases were also on the sheet - such as the Missing Liverwurst case. There is a new case. Can you keep a secret? The Mona Woofa is Missing! I could scarcely believe our luck. Each time we read, or have someone read to us, for l5 minutes, we get to color a special footprint. My sources tell me that we then win money Bucks, I believe they're called, and we may go to the mystery market to buy things. There are special Mystery Storytimes every Wednesday morning through August 12 from
10:30-11. Just think of the info you can get there. There are other programs as well, such
as fitness magic (every good detective knows you need to be in good shape to keep up) and
an August 6 I know this is a lot of confidential information, but jot it all down in your trusty notebooks. Reading books is a fun way to go on adventures anywhere you want to go. You can sit in your chair and go to the moon or under the sea. AND these adventures are yours to keep, and always free. We hope to see you at the Williamson library solving the puzzles and having fun soon! Now, where did I put my magnifying glass? Did one of the kids take my special glasses again? Oh, Rachel, Michael? Have you seen my glasses? Copyright © 1998 |
