mother & puupyPuppies growing
quickly since
school visit

By Melissa White

Not long ago, I wrote a story about the little German Shepherd puppies who visited the Sodus Primary School. Last week, I went to visit the puppies. They've grown quite a bit since I had seen them last. They still have those same cute personalities, each different from their siblings.

The one puppy with the pink collar who had been adopted had been picked up by his new family already. Alice has taken the puppies to the vet for their usual puppy visit. (Six pups in a box, whining all the way to the vet's had to be interesting. By the time I get to the vet's office, my dog Caesar has jumped in my lap twice. Maybe he thinks he could do a better job behind the wheel, but I think he's just too short.)

shepherd puppyAlice's puppies are registered purebred Shepherds - two females and two males left. The puppies that are being sold are black and brown in color. The little brown female is the one everyone falls in love with. They are all well-socialized - they went to school for three hours, the children Alice babysits for play with the pups daily, and Alice has four children of her own. How much more exposed to children could puppies be?
