Clyde Saxton Band in Sodus Sunday

The Old Sodus Point Light House lawn will be the setting for the Sunday, July 26 performance of the concert.jpg (11649 bytes)Clyde Saxton Band, part of the Light House Summer Concert Series. Downbeat is promptly at 3 p.m. for this free concert. Make yourself comfortable by bringing a lawn chair or blanket and savor the afternoon breeze on the shore of Lake Ontario.

The Clyde Saxton Band has been in existence since 1877. Their program includes spirited marches, German polkas, Dixieland, and traditionial favorites such as Yankee Doodle.

Volunteers from the Sodus Bay Historical Society will be grilling red and white hot dogs and Italian sausage at the event. Cold drinks and popcorn will also be avallable. The Light House Museum and Gift Shop, on Ontario St., Sodus Point, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
