Beckens Park to auction block

Next month, the county will accept sealed bids for the former Beckens Park property on Miller Road in the Town of Arcadia. The 41.5-acre parcel was most recently owned by the Park family, who had operated RK's Place, which often held music jamborees.

In May, the county took the property for unpaid taxes. According to Nancy Murray at the County Treasurer's Office, unpaid taxes totaled $23,348.27.

Advertisements for sealed bids will be published soon, and accepted through August 14. The County Board of Supervisors will determine the new owner at the regular August 18 meeting.
