Sodus Scouts plan clothing drive

Have you cleaned out your closets lately or held a garage sale and still have unsold items?

Sodus girls need your unwanted clothes, shoes, belts, purses, sheets, pillowcases, blankets and drapes. Collected items will be used in the United States and Third World countries, such as Guyana, Ivory Coast and Somalia. Distribution by St. Pauly Textile, Inc. can reduce the amount of usable clothing going into our landfills.

Girl Scout Troop 833 will be holding a clothing drive on August 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Dynalec's West parking lot, come rain or shine. Proceeds will help finance the girls' trip to Europe in 2000.
