New ramp
at post office

The ramp on the Main Street side of the Newark Post Office opened yesterday.

Pictured are Gil and Evelyn Lewis, sharing a laugh with Art Blanch, the first person in a wheelchair to ascend the ramp. Blanch is a former Town of Lyons Supervisor.

Also pictured are Newark Postmaster Jim Blandino, Bob Dobbelaere, who supervised the ramp project, and Gerald DeTorio, who walks with a cane and will use the ramp.

Electronic doors are on order; handicap parking spaces will be created on Main Street.
