Sodus summer recreation programs

The Sodus Recreation Programs promise something for every age group.

For Preschoolers to children aged 7, there is a tot swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $35 and the pool is located on North Geneva Rd.

There is swimming for those aged 8-14 from 2-4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Sodus Point Park Bay area...buses for this will pick up the children at the High School Tennis Courts and transport them to Sodus Point and back.

Also for those 8-14 years old, from noon to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Intermediate Gym, there will be Drama/Dance.

For children aged 5-14, there will be Arts & Crafts, Monday through Friday, 9:30-11:30 at the Intermediate Gym.

If tennis is your child's sport, at the High School Tennis Courts there will be tennis for children 8-10 years old, 9-10:30 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For older students (11-14), tennis will be 10:30-noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Is soccer more your child's game? If so, there are three different age groups: aged 5-7 meet at 5:30-7:00 p.m., Monday and Wednesday; aged 8-10 from 10:30-noon on Monday, Wed. and Friday; aged 11-14, 9-10:30 a.m., Monday, Wed. and Fridays. Soccer will be held in back of the Primary School.

Track and Field for ages 8-14 will meet July 6-l6 from 1-3 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays. July l7th will be Olympic Day. (The bus for Olympic Day will leave from the Tennis Courts.)

Pre-registration on Thursday, June 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sodus Central Field Foyer.

The programs will run from July 6 through August l4. Registration fee: $6.50 per child. (Pre-Registrations forms were sent home with your child.)
