Welcome to Nancy DeFisher from her home in Florida.

In honor of the Rev. Daniel H. Meyer's 20th anniversary. Members of the United Church of Marion surprised him with a special celebration of the occasion. Regular worship services were interrupted for special music and scripture readings; greetings and special remembrances from family and friends, who were unable to attend were shared with the congregation. A reception for Rev. Dan was held in the Fellowship Hall following worship service.

June 20 - Chicken Barbeque, 4 p.m., at the United Church.

Congratulations to John Hoefen and Karen Anne Howland who were united in marriage at the United Church on June 14.

All women of the United Church were invited to the Women's Guild picnic at the home of Kendra Franke at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jim and Mary Ann Young were in town from Oklahoma City spending time with their mother, June Young of Union St.

Thanks to all those who manned the American Cancer Society's Strawberry Shortcake booth; and to those who were determined to find us after we were forced twice to move our tent from our old spot during the past six years!
