C-G Digital vs. pulp By Donna Comella Over the past months, we've received requests to add several print items to the Digital Edition. Those requests ran from birth announcements to the police report and Sidewalk Talk. We have taken all into consideration, and have decided to take action on the single most requested item - obituaries. Beginning today, local death notices will appear at our www.cgazette.com site. Other changes to appear over the coming weeks (or sooner), will include the annual Business Directory and classified ads. We will continue to consider all requests, but we also want you to continue to read the pulp edition. It has things to offer that the Digital will probably never include, just as the Digital presents things that you'll never see in print. For instance, every story and picture ever published on the Digital Edition is still there for you to view. Just click on Archives. If you want to read Sidewalk Talk, you're going to have to stick to print. If you like color pictures - it's Digital. If you like details of police activity and court reports - pulp. Right now, the Digital carries a load of homepages for nine towns, a homepage and index for Wayne County, history for three towns, school information for several, an events listing...And soon, we will add home pages for Sodus Point and Pultneyville. Saturday, we received e-mail from the McMahon family in southwest China. They thanked us for our efforts in bringing their hometown a little closer. The McMahons, and many others like them, make it all worthwhile. Copyright © 1998 |
