Celtic music in Newark

Roxanne Ziegler and Kevin AngusAn Afternoon of Celtic Music was experienced by 250 people at Park Presbyterian Church Sunday.

The performers were Mitzie Collins, who sings and plays hammered dulcimer, Roxanne Ziegler on harp, and Kevin Angus on pipes (pictured). Angus is the pipe major of the Rochester pipe band Fedan Or.

Lorenzo MarefkaMusical selections were from Scotland, Ireland and Wales. A reception followed, with punch and scones, jellies and cream.

Also pictured is five-year-old Lorenzo Marefka, who has his own cap and bagpipes. (His grandmother took him on a trip to the British Isles.)
