NHS Job Fair

Newark School District Work Experience Council, with the assistance of the NYS Dept. of Labor, sponosored a Job Fair on March 11.

All students were given the opportunity to attend.

This year's Job Fair participants were: TAD Staffing, Euro-Rails Model Importers, U.S. Army, McDonald's, Wegmans, IEC, Eckerd Drugs, Chase-Pitkin, Pizza Hut, Wayne ARC, Wendy's (pictured is Andrea Bolan) and the JTPA Employment Training Program.

In February, employers instructed students on how to complete job application forms, which were used for the Job Fair.

Employers were Dave Howard from Zappia Vending, Nancy Gellasch and Karen Blankenberg of the Dept. of Labor, Bob Christmann and Hank Hann from the District Office, Gloria Matias from Victim Resource Center, Pamela Heald from WCTA Credit Union, Mike Breen from Breen's IGA, Tom Crowley from Showplace 5, Patti Felker from JTPA, Attorney Mike Calarco, Tracy Pieters from TAD, Greg Barnard from Barnard Chevrolet, Anton Dotschkal from Advanced Security Engineering.
