at Candy Apple

Several community helpers recently visited Mrs. Jill Adriaansen's three-year-olds at Candy Apple Children's Center in Newark. This coincided with a unit about "Our Town and the People In It."

The children asked questions of the visitors and learned more about each person's role in our community. Theyn sat in a police car, walked through Bell Atlantic and UPS trucks, peeked into a mailbag, watched a classmate get a haircut and learned how the milk we drink is processed.

Pictured are State Trooper John Kesel, Bell Atlantic employee Mike Wilkes, dairy farmer Rich Henry, postal carrier Juan Santell and hair stylist Robyn Leavitt.
