Childcare classes Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H Program is providing Child Care Classes for youth (12 years and older), to prepare them for future babysitting jobs. The seven-hour course will be offered at the following locations: April 14 at the Palmyra Park and Club House April 15 at the Newark Cooperative Extension Office April 16 at the Sodus United Methodist Church April 18 at the Clyde-Savannah Public Library The classes will be from 9 to 4. Participants will need to bring a bag lunch. The course will cost $6 for materials. All must pre-register by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension at 331-8415. Please give name, age and phone number. Topics covered include the care of infants, the ages and stages of children from 2 to 10 years of age, discipline techniques, and guidelines for safety and first aid for those emergency situations.
