Blood donors needed

Walton familyThis is a plea for donors who had to stop donating because of the time that it took. Please give it another try. For the third blood drive in a row, the Blood Bank Staff has had all donors in and out in one hour or less. The staff promises to continue this high level of service in the future.

Mallory, Luke and Claire Walton waited while their mother, Maria, donated blood.

Now that the NY-PENN Blood Region is committing enough staff to provide this high level of service, we have a responsibility to provide enough donors to reach our goal. At the March 19, drive our goal was 100 and we had 88 donors with 84 pints collected. We need your help to reach our goal for future drives.

Nowak familyWhile James Nowak donated blood, Jeffery and Matthew are in need of new, first-time donors. The beautiful children shown here are a symbol of the new donors we hope to get.

We have a large group of dedicated donors that give nearly every blood drive, but they may move away, have health or other problems so they can no longer donate. So, it is important that we continually add to our donor list.

Ten new donors are needed for the May 18 drive at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark.

If you would like to become a new donor or have been a donor in the past and would like to get back into the habit of giving the gift of life, call the Red Cross office at 331-3783 and ask to be added to our calling list for future blood drives.
