Fr. Robert Smith donates stocks

One of the greatest attributes man can do is to share with the less fortunate, especially those who are suffering from illness, aging and physical challenges. Many people never undertake ventures of sharing or giving in their lifetime and never realize what they are missing in life.

Father Bob Smith, a Catholic clergyman from the Red Creek area, Chaplain of the Butler Correctional Facility, knows how to share and give. He has again donated stocks to help with the Caring Friends Mission. The financial yield from the stocks will be used to serve Caring Friends client needs in Wayne County. His gift will enable us to make our programs available to the Wayne residents and provide a better quality of life. There is no better way to fulfill the joy of giving than to share with those in need.

Rudolph DeLisio said: "Twelve years ago when Father Smith was pastor of St. Marys in Wolcott, I surveyed 12 people as to the need for a support group such as Caring Friends. Father Smith was one of the people I talked to. His input and enthusiasm plus encouragement were positive. He pledged at that time that he would be available to help in any way. Father Bob has always been helpful and the stock shares are a welcomed gift especially in the month of January for the new physical year. He is a man I respect and admire dearly."
