Marion needs school board members Petitions are now available for three seats on the Board of Education at Marion Central School. Two persons will be elected for three-year terms to fill the seats currently held by Richard Adriaansen and David Loucks, whose terms expire June 30. Additionally, one person will be elected for a partial, one-year term to succeed Sharon Klug who died suddenly in February and whose term expires June 30. This person's term will begin immediately following the election. This year's election will be an At-Large election. (In other words, the person with the most votes wins.) You do not have to choose a specific seat to run for. Therefore, the two people receiving the most votes would secure the two three-year terms. The person receiving the third most votes would fill the partial term. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the District Office at 926-2300. top of page Copyright © 1998 |
