911 stickers on Newark vehicles

The Newark Volunteer fire department has placed 911 Emergency stickers on all of the fire apparatus. Whether you need help from the police, fire or ambulance services, you must call 911.

Jim Colacino, Mike Colacino and Shawn McCormickPhone number 331-1300 is still in operation, but if you call that number, the 911 emergency center will not automatically know where the call comes from. In addition to the new 911 sticker, fire apparatus E-13 is being striped with white reflective tape. This procedure helps the department meet with new National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. All fire apparatus built after 1996 must be highly visible from all angles of the apparatus.

Chief James J. Colacino, frefighter James R. Colacino and Shawn McCormick placed the 911 emergency stickers on the fire apparatus and the Chief's vehicle.
