Marion kids compete

The following seven Marion School District students recently competed in the third annual Math 11241 challenge at Williamson Middle School: Nick Bose, Jeremy Hall, Shawn Cummings, Eli Voorhees, Ricky Dean, Aaron Hipp, and Lyle Lake. Keith Haas and Jessica Crane (substitute) couldn't attend due to illness. The above named were selected as a result of elimination rounds held in Marion.

Nine school districts were represented by approximately sixty finalists.

Ricky Dean, a sixth grader at Marion Elementary School, will receive a plaque for coming in third place overall. Ricky came in first place of all the sixth graders involved.

This competition involves grades 5-8 only.
